Getting Help

Getting Help

Getting help is very easy. Just walk into our building at 819 Alexander Road, Princeton, NJ 08505 between 8:30am and 2:00pm, Monday to Friday. After providing basic information about yourself, you will be seen by a Master's level mental health clinician who will conduct a psychosocial evaluation and start your treatment. Its that easy. Any individual, family member, hospital, human service organization or medical & behavioral health care practitioner may make referrals to AAMH as well.

Ample free parking is available and AAMH is near the Princeton Junction train station and bus lines..

Please note, no initial appointments will be scheduled for a doctor only/medication management situation at our facility. It is our policy that any client MUST be under the care of one of our clinicians in order to be seen by a doctor for medication management purposes. No exceptions will be made to this policy. Should you wish to see a doctor only, we suggest that you reach out to a psychiatrist through their private practice. We do not have any of this information at our facility, so please try to search for a doctor's private practice through an internet search or through 411. Thank you for your cooperation!

Fees and Insurance

Because of subsidies from the State of New Jersey and Mercer County, along with the generous support of our private donors and corporate partners, AAMH can provide services to you based on your income, family size and insurance coverage-a sliding scale fee. We also participate in many insurance company behavioral health care networks and accept Medicare and Medicaid.
